Race Record

Good Magic (Curlin – Glinda the Good, by Hard Spun) raced nine times with three wins, three place finishes, and a show finish. He earned more than $2.9 million. He landed the place in his bow and occupied that same spot in the Grade 1 Champagne second time out. He graduated in the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, and began his sophomore campaign with a show finish in the Fountain of Youth (G2). Chad Brown’s colt bounced back with a victory in the Grade 2 Blue Grass at Keeneland. He stalked the pace and landed the place behind Justify in the Kentucky Derby (G1), and dueled with Justify and finished a close fourth in the Preakness (G1). He won the Grade 1 Haskell at Monmouth and retired after finishing up the track in the Travers (G1).
